    1. “you can use a cup of warm milk if desired (almond, soy or regular cow’s milk)” what really!? are you kidding me

    2. We would recommend water, as I believe you are as well! I think the article writer is really trying to just get the other ingredients, like turmeric, lemon, honey, etc. into people’s systems. Therefore giving them other options to get started. Always remember people are at different levels in their health and how they eat and drink…just ingesting these ingredients might be a huge step for them.

    3. And yet, there is actually no scientific evidence to support these claims.

    4. the best drink for you is: drink the water you cooked your mustard greens in or turnips….eat cooked kale…these are your power sources.

    5. Sounds great..however the darn ad keeps popping up before I can read the recipe.

      • Hi Rita,
You should just be able to close the ad, but just incase you can’t…The recipe is
        Ingredients:

1 cup of warm (not hot) water; you can use a cup of warm milk if desired (almond, soy or regular cow’s milk)
        1/4 tsp turmeric
        lemon juice (1/2 lemon)
        a pinch of cinnamon, optional
        1/8 tsp honey

    6. Add a bit of cracked black pepper to aid in the digestion of turmeric. And ginger!

    7. Wouldn’t adding lemon and milk curdle?

    8. Interesting – I was drinking a turmeric lemonade in the summer. Pretty amazing sinus headache remedy (from which I suffer in allergy season).

    9. Wouldn’t the lemon juice curdle the milk??

    10. That is very little turmeric. I use a teaspoon of turmeric, teaspoon of cinnamon, teaspoon of fresh ginger, pinch of nutmeg and pinch of ground cloves.

    11. I tried to make this, but find it impossible to blend the tumeric, just seems to float on top….helpful suggestions?

      • Exactly…Turmeric/Curcumin are not water soluble. Makes me wonder if people are really making this drink. If you try to mix Turmeric or Curcumin with water that’s all that will happen. It will just clump and not mix in, which is why you want fat…because it is fat soluble. This is the reason for the milk, coconut milk is a good option for those who want non dairy and it provides beneficial fats.

    12. Mix it with a bit of cold water first…then add the hot water and lemon juice and honey to taste

    13. I have so called inflammation in my back, neck and head for the past 6 weeks and can’t seem to get rid of it. I feel awful and my Doctor say s there is nothing he can do! What can I do to get rid of this because I am becoming quite depressed and nothing seems to help. I have been drinking tumeric tea with lemon and honey and fresh ginger and cinnamon, but still have the pain!!

    14. What the old folks used to call “pot likker.” We drank it from “sallet greens” (mustard, turnips) or from collards.

    15. Soy is not good unless it is fermented.

    16. I want to so try this…forgot to buy the lemons

    17. Shouldn’t add honey to the hot water.. It loses it’s healing properties., add it later

    18. Ingredients: •1 cup of warm (not hot) water; you can use a cup of warm milk if desired (almond, soy or regular cow’s milk)
      •1/4 tsp turmeric
      •lemon juice (1/2 lemon)
      •a pinch of cinnamon, optional
      •1/8 tsp honey

      Preparation:

After you heat the water, add turmeric, lemon juice and honey. Stir well. Turmeric will settle on the bottom of the cup, so keep stirring while you drink this elixir, and you will utilize all of the benefits of turmeric. Make sure you drink it while it is still warm.

Turmeric is very inexpensive. It will give your lemon water a mild flavor, and have a positive effect on every system in your body. Adding this powerful spice to your diet is one of the best things you can do for your health.

    19. Start with 1/4 tsp but you can add as much as you like. Remember to add a fat because turmeric is not water soluble.

    20. Make sure you are not buying the GMO turmeric at most grocery stores. Get organic and also if you are over 150 lbs and want to lose weight, juice the whole lemon.

      • My brother was told he had five years to live when diagnosed with MUltiple Myeloma. He researched turmeric with bioperrine pills and increased his livelihood to ten years. I understand that many famous hospitals are even studying this for brain tumors as well.

    25. Don’t get me wrong, the stuff tastes great and I use it when I cook sometimes but, the health claims that are made about it (as with many things) are exaggerated.

    26. All sounds interesting but, as I said, certainly not anywhere near the level of evidence to support the claims. A very small sample size and, no control.i’m certainly not saying it shouldn’t be researched further. I’m saying that the claims made in the original article are exaggerated and premature.

    27. hmm, i did not know that, the powder in the capsules is so dry that is doesn’t mix with water, it just floats on the surface staying dry, i have to mix it hard, then i add black pepper to it

    28. delish & healing while boosting your immune system!

    29. i discovered that too much tumeric makes my digestive system feel really bad…so in moderation or less=ok.

    30. I’m sure this is a very healthy way to start the morning, but I had migraines for 35 years and will never ditch my morning cup of coffee.

    31. the best for sure warm lemon and turmeric..or ginger and a bit of honey….I tried drinking milk once…it clogged my lungs with too much mucus…

    32. Sorry guys but the cookies looked better there

    33. YOU DRINK IT! I will have my coffee or hot tea, thank you very much!

    34. It has and does help to get your health and energy levels back on track.

    35. Soy is no good even fermented. It is GMO poison laced in chemicals. Total swill

    36. I drink this every morning!

    37. Can i use lime instead of lemon?

    38. Coconut milk with ginger and/or tumeric. Or Lemon and hot warm water. Different drinks both good for you

    39. can I have this AND coffee?
