    Turmeric is used widely in Indian cuisine, but if you do not eat Indian food every day, how can you include this wonderful spice in your diet? Simple! Spice up your warm lemon water.

    To increase its beneficial effect, add a pinch of cinnamon, which has anti-inflammatory properties and can regulate blood sugar levels (which means you will eat less and feel more satisfied).


    • 1 cup of warm (not hot) water; you can use a cup of warm milk if desired (almond, soy or regular cow’s milk)
    • 1/4 tsp turmeric
    • lemon juice (1/2 lemon)
    • a pinch of cinnamon, optional
    • 1/8 tsp honey


    After you heat the water, add turmeric, lemon juice and honey. Stir well. Turmeric will settle on the bottom of the cup, so keep stirring while you drink this elixir, and you will utilize all of the benefits of turmeric. Make sure you drink it while it is still warm.

    Turmeric is very inexpensive. It will give your lemon water a mild flavor, and have a positive effect on every system in your body. Adding this powerful spice to your diet is one of the best things you can do for your health.

    1. Beware of turmeric. Dr oz had a special today…some brands of turmeric have contained lead and ect. Only trust brands you know instead of the cheap stuff. Also warned about the difference between greek yogurt and greek yogurt style.

    9. Found out turmeric is moderately high in vitamin K, so it’s off my list of edibles for a temporary time while I’m in Coumadin.

    10. There’s no proof that natural medicine is effective. But there’s plenty of proof that science-based medicine is effective. Natural medicine has side effects too. Just because something is “natural” doesn’t mean it’s safe, healthy or better.

      • keep giving big pharma your $$ if you want. i changed our diet and got myself off of antiacids and digestive meds and got my hubbs off of cholesterol meds. diet, herbs, and supplements. it works. i dont need a scientific study to prove it. its a fact. id rather not put the harsh chemicals that are in pharmaceuticals into my body and we sure dont miss the side effects. pop those pills if you want.

    11. Just be sure to decontaminate the lemon skin and be sure the turmeric is unadulterated.

    12. Putting lemon in warm milk, any type, doesn’t sound right. Maybe mixing turmeric with the milk with cinnamon and pepper (sounds like it needs some nutmeg too) and then making a separate warm lemon water tea makes more sense…unless as the article says remixing before you sip takes care of the non dissolving turmeric problem?

Coffee changes the amino acid chemistry of the body, and can damage the pancreas which makes insulin…Between coffee drinking, poor diet, and parasite infestation, diabetes and pancreatic cancer are on the rise….This is a real powerful health drink…inexpensive and very effective…Good post tx

Dear Bikpet, ganetics also play a part…High strand DNA helix people can be carriers of diseases and not show symptoms….However if they are intimate with lower strand individuals, they can infect the lower strand causing serious illness or worse….Some people can eat a horrible diet and live long lives…The same diet could kill some of a lower helix in a lot less time….Just because someone consumes a product and they live a long life, doesn’t mean what they are consuming is good for them…Coffee is toxic to the pancreas,,,Do some research…ccrg.info wisdom…If you want to be healthy in this world, study what the masses are doing, and do something different…Gerson cancer treatment recommends coffee enemas….Perhaps that’s the only place / circumstance coffee is ok…I stopped drinking coffee and substituted live state juicing…Health has gone up a few notches and I am not addicted to caffeine, or need it to get my day started, as is the case with most coffee addicts….Now I am addicted to healthy foods, not poisons… Blessings
